Destination weddings in Central Italy: a journey for your guests

Tuscan Lands Travel is a licensed DMC based in Florence, supporting wedding planners with guest journeys, ground services and private experiences across Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. A destination wedding is a celebration of love. But for those arriving from elsewhere, it's also a journey, and how that journey is handled matters as much as the ceremony.

Picture offering your guests a private tasting at a Chianti winery, or a hot air balloon flight reserved for the wedding party. These are the moments guests still talk about a year later.

At Tuscan Lands Travel we work alongside venue concierges and wedding planners to make this possible. We're a licensed DMC (Destination Management Company) and Tour Operator in Italy, authorized to run private experiences, transfers, and guest services. Based in Florence, we work only in Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio: three regions, not all of Italy, because experience on the ground matters more than coverage.

Our role is to complete your work: every guest's stay gets the same care as the wedding itself.

Wedding planners and venue concierges already juggle an enormous amount. We're not here to replace that work. We're here to handle what sits outside the wedding itself: the guests' stay.

Couples often want to offer something more to the people they love. A private cellar tour for the parents. A day in Florence for the culture-minded ones. A countryside outing for friends. None of it pulls focus from the day itself. It just adds to it.

This is where pre and post-wedding experiences come from: private activities, built case by case, for whoever stays in Italy a few extra days.

Pre and Post-Wedding Experiences for Family and Friends

Every wedding is different, so every Guest Journey comes out different too: it depends on where the venue is, the theme of the celebration, who the guests are.

Groups stay small, up to six or seven people, to keep things personal. For larger groups we build a different logistics plan that holds the same standard.

A few examples of experiences that have already come out of a specific request, available in Italian, English, and Portuguese:

Brunello Discovery

A tasting in Montalcino with direct access to the producers, then an afternoon in Pienza.

Best for: parents of the couple, small groups of friends.

Luxury Shopping at The Mall

Private transfer and personal shopper for a day of designer shopping at The Mall, just outside Florence.

Best for: bridesmaids, groups looking for a day off the wedding schedule.

Florence Discovery & Wine Day

A private guided walk through Florence's historic center, followed by a winery visit in Chianti.

Best for: guests arriving a few days early who want to see Florence.

Val d'Orcia Lifestyle

Montepulciano, Pienza, and an aperitivo near the Cappella di Vitaleta, among the Tuscan hills.

Best for: families, small groups looking for a slower afternoon.

Exclusive Dinner with Showcooking & Tasting

A private dinner with showcooking. The chef cooks in front of you, course after course, paired with a selection of wines.

Best for: close family, one of the evenings closest to the wedding day.

Exclusive Pizza-Making Class

A hands-on class with a Florentine pizzaiolo. Each guest shapes and bakes their own pizza in the wood-fired oven.

Best for: groups with children, casual moments among friends.

Each of these programs can change completely depending on the wedding asking for it now: where it's held, what mood it has, who's arriving for those days.

How a Guest Journey comes together

We always start from what you tell us: where the wedding is happening, the mood you're building, who's arriving for those days.

A short conversation is enough to start. Venue, guest profile, what the couple wants to offer them. From there we build the program around that specific request.

The legal side, the suppliers, the language of the guides: all of that stays on us. What reaches you is a proposal ready to present to the couple.

Logistics and Transfers

Behind every pre or post-wedding experience there's logistics that has to work. Period. When you organize pre or post-wedding experiences with us, we can add a few extra services, from airport arrival to group transfers, with discretion.

VIP airport services: personal welcome from the moment of landing, with Fast Track and porter services. Available at Fiumicino and Malpensa.
Private transfers: luxury sedans and vans for families and VIPs.
Guest shuttles: coordinated services for groups, wedding days, and events.
Dedicated assistance on the wedding day or event day.
